![]() NISSAN TO RAISE PRICES OF 6 COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN OCTOBER Monday, September 1, 2008 Nissan Motor Co. (TSE:7201) on Friday announced price hikes ranging between 30,000 yen (US$277) and 70,000 yen for six commercial vehicles, including light vans and small trucks, as of October 1. Bruised by runaway materials prices, the automaker will pass on higher costs to end-users through hikes on vehicles using large amounts of steel. But it will not raise passenger car prices, because rival Toyota Motor Corp. (7203) has bumped up its own prices for only several offerings, including hybrids. The hikes are Nissan's first on commercial vehicles in roughly 16 years. more on this story: link posted by plazadecuba on 3:24 AM -------------------------------- Previous Post |
